Law firm and lawyer in ‘quiet quit’ dispute drop their litigation

By De، C،ens Weiss

Dueling lawsuits between the law firm Napoli Shkolnik and a fired partner accused of “quiet quitting” have been dropped following private mediation.

Details of the resolution between Heather M. Palmore and the firm were not clear, Law.com reports.

Napoli Shkolnik sued first, claiming in a February 2023 suit that Palmore took advantage of the remote work environment by performing little to no work—known as “quiet quitting”—and by running her own firm, the Palmore Law Group.

Days later, Palmore sued the firm, alleging that she “has been subjected to and witnessed egregious race and disability discrimination.” Palmore, w، is Black, said she “lost” access to the firm’s network in October 2022, one day after the firm received a representation letter from her lawyers.

The suits were dismissed Tuesday as a result of a notice of discontinuance filed in N،au County, New York, and a stipulation to voluntary dismissal filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
